Director of Congregational Life

We are seeking a full-time Director of Congregational Life who is eager to foster an environment where families and individuals grow together in faith.

What You'll Do:

As the Director of Congregational Life, you will have the opportunity to:

Lead the development of our educational and spiritual programs for young people in preschool through high school, working with other programming staff in creating a nurturing environment that supports both age-specific learning and multigenerational worship experiences.

Implement programs that enhance fellowship among our church members. By planning social activities and community gatherings, you’ll help deepen relationships within our church family.

Ensure that every guest feels the warmth and acceptance of our community, especially during their first visit. Your strategies will include innovative hospitality efforts that cater to diverse backgrounds and generational needs.

An offering is taken as an act of worship, but as a visitor, please do not feel any pressure to participate. This is for those who are part of the NSUMC community and wish to contribute to our mission.

What We're Looking For:

A leader with a heart for Christian education and a track record of inspiring children and families.

Someone who thrives in thinking creatively to develop engaging programs and events.

A team builder who is skilled in recruiting, motivating, and encouraging volunteers.

A dedicated disciple who embodies a life of ongoing Christian faith and practice.

  • 40 hours per week, including regularly scheduled time on Sunday mornings
  • Available on weekends and other times when outreach events are scheduled
  • Attendance at staff and education committee meetings held regularly.
  • Must pass a background screening and sign the NSUMC Safe Sanctuaries Guidelines.
