March 2026 NSUMC Leadership Board Meeting
The board meeting began at 5:30 pm via Zoom. Present: Keith Sobraske, Cathy Sherry, Dave Blobaum, Shellee Snoke, Carey Johnson, Curt Hansen, Winston Vineyard, Andrew Song, Terri Wicker, Tom McPhee, Chris Wurpts. Board Packet was discussed and approved. Financial Updates Giving continues to trend well, and expenses are in check.
February 2026 NSUMC Leadership Board Meeting
The team discussed accelerating merger milestones, launching the branding process with an outside firm, communication plans for the congregation, facilities updates timed between a June soft opening and a September grand opening, investment/foundation transition steps post-vote, governance and job description progress, a community fundraiser, and upcoming conference recognitions. As the Leadership Board works with the congregation to increase two-way communication, we are offering the following form to further our effort. As always, questions and comments can still be addressed to any member of the Leadership Board directly, but we also suggest the following form as others in the congregation may benefit from reading a Q&A. We welcome comments, suggestions, etc. as we continue to seek more open pathways.
NSUMC Guiding Principles
Our permission-giving policies, procedures, and practices that protect and allow the ministry of our church to function on a day-to-day basis within healthy boundaries. This is a living, breathing document that guides our church ministry under the Simplified Accountable Structure (SAS), while adhering to The United Methodist Church’s Book of Discipline (BOD). Only the Leadership Board has the authority to establish, remove, or modify a Guiding Principle.
