As we continue to advertise and search for a Director or Co-Directors of Christian Education, our new Pastor Christopher and the SPRC have asked Terry Wright and Carey Johnson to stay on to help with the transition and new hire(s). Fortunately, Terry and Carey have graciously agreed to do so. Thanks for your patience and consideration as we continue the search.
If you are interested in the position, please reach out to the office (office@nsumc.com) with your information and resume. After many, many years of faithful and dedicated service to NSUMC, Terry Wright and Carey Johnson have decided to retire as Co-Directors of Christian Education, effective July 1, 2022. Responsibilities include assisting with coordination of Sunday morning classes during the 10:00 service each week, supervising Sunday School, nurturing and recruiting Sunday School teachers, developing and coordinating an outreach program (minimum of 4 events per year) for children and families, developing contacts for resourcing and future programming, supervising education/family ministry events, assisting with internal communications and web media, and recruiting and training volunteer leaders for Vacation Bible School. If interested, please submit your resume or statement of interest to our Office Manager, Shellee Snoke (shellee@nsumc.com). Additionally, please feel free to pass this information along to anyone that may be interested in the position.
NSUMC has a wonderful tradition of giving Bibles to our second grade students. This year we will have this celebration on Sunday, May 22nd during the 10am service. Because of the last couple of COVID years, this year we would love to include every 2nd-4th grade student who would like a Bible to join us in church, so all may receive their NSUMC Bibles together.
