The Summer Sunday School program is a perfect place to share your gifts and passions. You can commit to as many or as few Sundays as you are interested in or have the time for. We have ten Sundays from June 5th through August 7th that need to be filled by adults who love children and God. Twenty positions are available (two adults for our class at 10:00 a.m. ages 3-12 classes) to fill our Summer Sunday School teaching calendar. We will supply the curriculum and the support. Please consider sharing just ONE SUNDAY, and that’s just ONE HOUR. Please sign up here or email terry@nsumc.com so you can share your time, gifts and passions. Come enjoy the Food Truck Party Evening Event hosted on Friday, June 17th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in the parking lot of the church! We invite all families to celebrate the best of food truck cuisine and dine at our Food Truck Party Celebration! Multiple food trucks will be attending to help create an awesome foodie celebration, including...
Diner on Wheels: All the diner specialties that you can think of including an assortment of hamburgers, hot dogs, chili dogs, corn dogs, grilled cheese, fries, onion rings, and even a Root Beer float! Copper State Pizza: Their menu includes 10” pizzas and calzones! They offer ten different combinations for the pizza lover! El Taco Santo Gilbert: This food truck will satisfy your taco pallet with quesadillas, tacos, keto bowls, Horchata and beverages! Every summer during NSUMC’s Summer Day Camp, camper families are encouraged to help us help other children. This year the request is a donation of $25 toward a Walmart Gift card for the PIMA TRADITIONAL SCHOOL community aide office. These gift cards will support children and families by helping them afford school supplies, clothing and the bare necessities to make their school life more comfortable. Pima Traditional School is a Title One school in south Scottsdale.
North Scottsdale United Methodist Church invites children to “FOOD TRUCK PARTY Day Camp.” This camp adventure will be held Monday, June 13 through Friday, June 17, 9:00 a.m. until 11:30AM at NSUMC. It is open to all children ages three through twelve. Because of the generous donations from our NSUMC members, this year our VBS/DAY CAMP is now FREE for the full week program.
Food Truck Party Day Camp teaches us that everything we have comes from God! It’s by turning to God at our meal time prayer, we can find grace, compassion and support on our daily journey. This day camp offers energizing dance videos, interactive bible puppetry, super science experiments, creative crafts, and active games that are out-of-this-world! As we continue to advertise and search for a Director or Co-Directors of Christian Education, our new Pastor Christopher and the SPRC have asked Terry Wright and Carey Johnson to stay on to help with the transition and new hire(s). Fortunately, Terry and Carey have graciously agreed to do so. Thanks for your patience and consideration as we continue the search.
If you are interested in the position, please reach out to the office (office@nsumc.com) with your information and resume. The NSUMC Missions Committee will be directly working with UMCOR to assist in sending relief funding to the people in Ukraine and we'd like your help! Yellow envelopes will be available at Sunday worship service and your donation will directly provide support for Ukrainian families. You can also donate online by using this form. Learn more about UMCOR's efforts to provide relief to Ukraine here.
The Missions Committee has also been making donations through CarePortal to provide local support. There have already been two deliveries of clothing and infant supplies. If you're interested in participating or have something you'd like to donate through CarePortal, please reach out to the office and we'll point you in the right direction! |
