These gift cards will support children and families by helping them afford school supplies, clothing and the bare necessities to make their school life more comfortable. A message from the UMW group.
We have been selling Steering Wheel Covers and Mixer Covers for a few weeks by word of mouth. So far we have sold about 40 of them! We are now offering them to all of our UMW members at the low price of $20 each. Joanne Battershall has been donating all of the fabric. She and Joyce Nolan have been making them. They are like a pillow case cover and they slip right over your steering wheel to protect from the summer heat when you are not in the car. They also make great gifts. Joyce will be at church this coming Friday morning April 23rd from 10AM to 11AM. She will be at the ramada. Come by and take a look at what she has to offer. They will also make custom ones with your fabric. Please contact Cindy Bryant. firstname.lastname@example.org
The name of the study is: The 28-day Prayer Journey by Chrystal Evans Hurst
Bible teacher Chrystal Evans Hurst was struggling in her prayer life, and even in her understanding of prayer. She took 28 days and challenged herself to go to God, to spend specific time talking with Him from different postures and in different ways. This five-session study was born of that original challenge. Chrystal teaches through four postures of personal prayer called out in Scripture: thanksgiving and praise, repentance, requesting/asking and yielding. She looks at why a practice of prayer is worth the effort, how to cultivate a heart of gratitude, what repentance offers us, how to ask boldly and humbly, and what it means to surrender to God.
If you’ve ever desired to deepen your relationship with God by having more intimate conversations with him each day, multiple times a day, you’re not alone. Come join us each Wednesday from 10:00 am — 11:30 am as we experience a true prayer journey that will change your conversations with God, little by little, one day at a time!
