Our church Missions Committee is responsible
for facilitating discipleship opportunities outside
the confines of the church walls. To the extent possible,
the committee makes members aware of individual and
group mission opportunities and encourages the participation
in mission. It also plans and leads mission teams
outside the Valley of the Sun.
Monthly, members of NSUMC are active
at Wesley United Methodist Mission in South Phoenix,
United Methodist Outreach Ministries (UMOM) on East
Van Buren in Phoenix, Lampliter INN (a home for the
mentally ill), ViCap (an outreach to the home bound)
and numerous Food Banks in the Valley of the Sun.
We encourage all disciples of Christ
to identify their Spirit given gifts, find their passion
and become involved in taking Christ’s gospel
to the word through their works.
